Claire Barone, PCLC

Therapist

It can feel daunting to begin therapy, which is why Claire is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment as the foundation for therapeutic work. She welcomes clients across the lifespan and especially enjoys working with young adults and individuals navigating neurodivergence. Her work is grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, with sessions built around thoughtful collaboration and the unique needs of each client. Claire believes that an authentic, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful growth.

In sessions, Claire aims to create a safe space to explore whatever brings you to therapy. From there, she draws from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to slow down and better understand the emotional and interpersonal patterns that shape your experiences. By developing a deeper understanding of your emotions, relationships, and internal world, Claire helps clients create meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room. She works collaboratively with clients to identify and honor their unique emotional experiences, offering compassionate presence and curiosity along the way. Together, you can begin to shift away from patterns that no longer serve you and toward values-based actions that support a more fulfilling and embodied life.

Claire received her bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University and her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montana. She is EMDR-trained and has completed an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. Claire feels deeply passionate about this work and considers it an honor to support clients through the many seasons and transitions of life.
