Seonaid Campbell

Graduate Student Intern - Clinical Mental Health Counseling

My Scottish Gaelic name is pronounced “Sho-na.” I grew up in Scotland and Wyoming, then moved to Montana to attend MSU. Currently, I’m completing my graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University and am thrilled to join Sub Rosa to be of service to you.

There is no doubt that life is challenging. When experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, or relationship issues, it is hard to envision stability. Yet, the capacity for healing already exists within you.

My commitment is to offer you my attuned presence and skilled support. Together, we will help you gain self-realization, resilience, and skills that address your specific needs. Our work will be holistic, integrating somatic awareness and mindfulness techniques to help you create lasting change and wellness.

My evidence-based and intuitive approach is informed by depth and transpersonal psychology, feminist theory (social justice), and client-centered approaches that honor intellectual insight, lived experience, and the body’s wisdom. I value advances in neuroscience and understanding of the mind-body connection and am eager to provide you with the most effective approaches available within my training.

Before entering the counseling field, I spent my career as a writer, documentary filmmaker, photographer, and outdoor guide. Listening closely to people’s stories and exploring questions of meaning, identity, and resilience has always been central to my work and life.

As vulnerability expert Brené Brown says, “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.” I am here to help you embrace your story and, where need be, to flip the script.
