Accessibility & Community-Based Care
At Sub Rosa Therapy, we believe that healing should be accessible, community-rooted, and sustainably supported. Our mission is not only to provide high-quality care—but to do so in ways that strengthen local systems and reduce barriers for those most in need.
We put this mission into practice in the following ways:
Telehealth Services
Sub Rosa Therapy offers counseling and medication management services through Telehealth, making comprehensive care available to those who live in rural communities or are not able to commute to our office.
*To establish care for medication management, a copy of recent vital signs by your primary care provider (no older than 2 months) must be forwarded to our office, or the initial appointment must be attended in person (—this is necessary if a stimulant medication is to be prescribed).
Spravato Access for Depression and Suicidality
We are proud to offer Spravato, an FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression and suicidality, which If a stimulant medication is to be prescribed, the initial appointment must be attended in person.
At Sub Rosa, all Spravato sessions are attended by trained sitters, including both medical and mental health professionals, who help establish a safe and supportive set and setting. They also support clients in beginning to integrate the experience, so that the treatment can meaningfully contribute to the healing process.
Medication Management Services
Sub Rosa Therapy provides access to medication management services through Alison Hall, PA-C, who is available for medication consultations and support when clinically appropriate. She provides holistic, whole-person care that integrates physical and mental health, and has experience in primary care and bioidentical hormone therapy. Alison also has the ability to order laboratory tests when appropriate. Alison’s unique role allows us to offer coordinated care to clients without direct intervention of a psychiatrist. Her role is not to replace your primary care provider, but to collaborate and work alongside them to support your overall well-being.
This service allows us to offer coordinated care to clients receiving therapy, particularly those covered by Montana Medicaid. By combining onsite medication support with affordable counseling options, our clinic meets the criteria for integrated behavioral health care under Medicaid guidelines.
At Sub Rosa Therapy, we provide outpatient psychotherapy and psychiatric services through an integrated model designed to support whole-person healing. We operate as a licensed outpatient behavioral health practice — not a licensed mental health center — maintaining full compliance with Medicaid regulations and Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) standards. Our team structure ensures that both psychotherapy and medical services are available through appropriately licensed professionals, supervised and coordinated to meet the highest standards of care. By prioritizing affordable counseling alongside medical services, we aim to reduce cost-related barriers for those seeking support.
Comprehensive Medical Billing
We offer full-service billing support to reduce administrative barriers and ensure clients can access care through their insurance plans whenever possible. This also helps us keep counseling services affordable and accessible to the community.
Sub Rosa has established contracts with most private insurance providers, as well as federal Medicare, Montana Medicaid, and VA TRICARE programs, expanding access to services for a broad range of clients. Our ability to accept insurance plays a crucial role in maintaining affordable counseling and therapy options.
Sliding Scale Ketamine-Assisted Therapy and Scholarship Programs
We offer a need-based sliding scale for clients working with Sub Rosa therapists who are seeking Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. This model supports our ongoing effort to offer affordable counseling options even in specialized care settings. We also maintain active partnerships with scholarship programs like Suffer Out Loud (Bozeman, MT) and Thank You Life (Austin, TX) to support need-based access to psychedelic therapy.
