Caroline Vernon

Therapist & IFS Specialist

Caroline Vernon is a licensed therapist at Sub Rosa Therapy who works with individuals navigating the lasting impacts of trauma, early developmental wounding, and life transitions. She blends evidence-based practices with mindfulness, somatic integration, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients reconnect with their inner strength, cultivate resilience, and move toward post-traumatic growth.

Drawing from contemplative psychology, somatic practices, and trauma-focused therapy, Caroline offers a collaborative space where clients can gently reconnect with parts of themselves that have been overwhelmed or cut off by painful experiences. She believes healing happens through an embodied process—where the body, mind, and spirit can come back into relationship with one another.

Caroline holds a Master’s in Contemplative Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas. She is a Clinical Trauma Specialist certified through the Arizona Trauma Institute and has completed advanced trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Levels 1 & 2, Somatic IFS, EMDR, and the Trauma Research Foundation’s Certificate Program with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. She has also completed certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy through the Institute for Integrative Psychiatry.

Caroline is passionate about supporting clients through the complexities of trauma recovery, expanded states of consciousness, and the creation of new internal pathways for connection, vitality, and meaning. Her work integrates somatic awareness, mindfulness, and evidence-based trauma therapies to meet each client’s unique healing journey with presence, compassion, and deep respect.
